Your dog doesn’t have to be perfectly behaved to make the moment special. Sometimes the unexpected puppy moment becomes everyone's favorite photo.
Keep Guests Comfortable During an Outdoor Ceremony
Outdoor ceremonies are beautiful, but if you’re getting married on a warm, sunny day, your guests will appreciate you thinking beyond the aesthetics. Consider placing parasols, hand fans, and water at the ceremony entrance. Not only are these practical, but they can also become part of your wedding design. A basket filled with pretty fans, personalized parasols, or chilled water infused with fruit can look beautiful in photos while making guests feel genuinely cared for.
Rethink the Traditional Guest Book
Your guest book doesn’t have to be a book.
Think about choosing something guests can interact with that feels more personal to you as a couple. One fun idea? A deck of playing cards.
Have each guest sign a card with a note, message, or piece of marriage advice. You can even encourage guests to choose a card that has a special meaning to them. After the wedding, you’ll have a unique keepsake that you can pull out for years to come, and unlike a traditional guest book, it’s something you can actually shuffle through and revisit.
Other creative options include signed postcards, a custom puzzle, a coffee-table book, a vinyl record, or even wooden pieces that can eventually become part of your home.
Don’t Underestimate the Power of a Custom Cocktail Napkin
Custom cocktail napkins are one of those details that might seem small until you see them in your wedding photos.
Add your names, wedding date, monogram, a fun phrase, or even a little illustration to cocktail napkins and pair them with your signature drink. Suddenly, a simple bar detail becomes a styled photo opportunity.

A sweetheart table tucked into the reception so the couple has a few quiet moments together.
Private hors d'oeuvres and drinks brought to the couple during cocktail hour since they often miss it.
A room reveal before guests enter the reception; it's one of the only chances you'll get to soak in all the details you spent months planning!
A big wedding group photo so you have memories of everyone who attended, and also a great tactic to get everyone on the dance floor for that first open-dancing song right after the shot is captured.
